After tonight, I hope none of our commits back out...I guess we could entice with playing time early. We'll be lucky to win one, maybe two games. Wonder if any good news came out of the recruits tonight.

Yeah, the game is over.

No one's going to change based on two games. However, we need to corrrect some stuff quickly and not let this season get away from us. A 1-11 or 2-10 season could cause some commits to reconsider and even worse, kill momentum for the rest of the class and next year too.

If you have kids de-commit after a couple of losses you probably were not going to keep the kids long term anyway.

We lost #1 and probably # 3 of our easiest games already. #2 being Kamsas and #4 Tulsa only behind Iowa cuz its on the road. Looking prettt rough. Hope Kleinikais (sp?) takes over as oc or we are screwed. Mess is terrible. We are.limited enough on offense but he just sucks. 4th and 1...lets run a pass 4 yds behind the line of scrimmage after a T.O.

Exactly, if these kids see a program struggle and they are offensive players, games like these could sway them into rethinking if they are making the right decision. I'm not trolling, just considering what if?? If you turn out to be the worst team in your state, struggle to win easy games the rest of the year, it doesn't push great momentum into next year. I like what I see in Bundrage and Sammy. Sammy's td:int ratio is spectacular. But we didnt stick with a consistent rb, the bubble plays don't work and messingham needs to take a few more risks on a crappy secondary after establishing a run game. There is talent on the field, but when it doesn't come out until the 4th quarter, we have issues.

My Kool-Aid has turned.

I could see Lazard going to Oregon - my god, why WOULDN'T you want to play in that offense. Especially if you want to play on Sundays.

Ugh. We need an offense, and we need it quick. Our D actually did OK, which was to be expected, honestly. I know it's getting old, but goddamn it, FIRE MESS.

Great atmosphere and crowd, a good game and the best fans in the nation. So we lost, it happens. I'm sure the commits and the recruits who were at the game still had a great time.

Thing is, I'm pretty sure the TEAM didn't have a 'great time' and that's who they are going to be around most of the time. Fans are great, but how long do you think the fan support lasts if we go 0-12 or 1-11 this year? Remember the Danny Mac days? Chiz? I sure do, and it ain't pretty.

This could be the 'big change' that Lazard was talking about to get him to de-commit.

Man I'm upset about this crapshow we call an offense.

I thought the atmosphere was bad I am always shocked by the amount of Iowa fans in our section, kudos to them for buying them up

If the team continues on this trajectory - I see no way we don't lose a few of our more ambitious recruits. We look like ****.

Oh, and Klenakis as our OC? Our O-line is our worst unit on the field, losing out closely to the D-Line - which is also, REALLY bad. I thought we were going to be this ace pistol read-option team this year... we suck. We can't run, and we don't have time to throw.

I am with you. CPR needs to fix the offense right away or we will retreat back to the start of his tenure.
