I can't be the only one who thinks that the Chive thing and website is stupid. Am I missing the point here, It looks like a bunch of bro humor and frat boy antics? Feel free to correct me I dont mind being proven wrong.

I could post a lot of reasons but they would get me banned so I will just say mind the gap and carry on

I dont get it, its a gathering of photos found from around the internet. So ok, that whatever, but then you have all these people w t shirts saying Kcco and whatever and talking about how cool it is. What am i missing. Hey bros lets have a meet up of chivers! Ya kickass, we can meet other dudes that like to look at funny pictures too! Awesome.

I'm not/wasn't a frat boy, and don't consider myself a "bro", but I still think a lot of the content there is hilarious. Not to mention oodles & oodles of hot, scantily clad women...

Whoa.

To each their own dudes. If you don't like it, don't go there? No reason to have an internet standoff about it.

I have a feeling the coolness of Chive is nearing an end (not that I'm wishing this). When not many people knew about this site it was "cool" to be a part of. Now it seems you can't go anywhere without seeing a t-shirt, hat, bumper sticker, etc with "Stay Calm...". Our culture will soon turn on this and it will by My Spaced.

A) A lot of the pictures are user submissions

B) As far as the t-shirts & meet ups go, I think they're meant to bring together people with similar interests/senses of humor.

Different (obviously), but somewhat similar to an ISU recruiting party. We all wear ISU shirts & get together to talk about a common interest.

I'm not saying it's some elaborate exclusive club or anything. Still, I won't sit here & mock you for having a different sense of humor than me.

This is about the only funny video I can find:

Yea I mean what type of website has a group of people that have some sort of their own member's language, wear similar clothes, and enjoy the same type of things... oh wait.

Yeah, kind of like me and Cyclone football in the early 90s.

You get together to talk about a website while wearing matching t shirts. Youre practically bronies.

Because if there is one thing that is tough to find on the internet, it is pictures of hot chicks in varying states of undress.

I don't really have an opinion on the Chive though. The internet is a big place. And if their owners are making a money and not impacting me who am I to complain?

Woah, overreact much?
