What school would love to have a player die because of on field injuries?
Nobody loves the fact that he died because of on the field injuries. Jack Trice played in a time when he was considered a lesser human being. In my opinion he died because he felt that he had to prove that he was worthy of being on that field. That is the reason he his important. It goes so far beyond football.

Read the letter. Go to a game and go to the wall. I go to the wall every game I go to.

iowa's were pretty awful last year. still not as bad as the Steelers bumblebee tops with flesh colored pants. black and gold is just a bad color combination and they produce ugly throwbacks it would seem.

IF it is true and the Cyclones get Jack Trice era throwbacks then I hope to god they do them justice.
This^

its not the color combos...there are far too many novel ideas that are poorly executed or simply realized to be poor ideas. I hope for all you fashionistas sake it's well thought out and executed....clearly it's not the case doe far too many "throwback" gimmick jersey combos these days.

The cool thing about photoshop, is you can make almost anything look cool....and far from what it does in person.

Am I the only one not enamored with these throwbacks?
Nope...

i will admit, if they tweak the idea from the pictures circulated, it stands a chance. If note I am afraid it will be too gimmicky and a bit cartoonish. I'd suggest a two-tone effect for the stripes with red variants or finishes. I am afraid this could be way too rugby uniform than football....

Of course, my opinion is in the minority, but just as others, it is an opinion...

Well, they can never make something everyone would love so if the majority does, good enough.
Well if they are inevitable, I sure hope they at the least ditch the socks and make them not so tacky...

I guess I'm oldschool then. When I grew up, shorts were actually shorts, they weren't potato sacks. The "baggy" look was coming in when I was high school, so much so that the basketball uniform I wore my sophomore year were the oldschool "John Stockton" shorts. The shorts on my varsity uniform the next year were all the way to my knees.

Personally, I hate the baggy look and spend extra time online looking for shorts with 5" or 6" inseams. Most shorts these days are 10" or 11" by default.

Ugh...this reminds me of my freshman year of high school in basketball (mind you, that was 1995) and the freshmen got the old uniforms that had been handed down many times. I still remember us all putting them on and they looked like those.....we could all hardly sit in the locker room without fear of something popping out the side. And everyone was pulling downward hoping to get an extra half inch of extra coverage with no luck.

I will give someone a rep and respect to name each of those players, and why they were photographed together. And no you can say that they were all future coaches/front office personal even though that is ironic.

Three point contest, but I can't name them all. Bird, Schrempf, ?, Ainge, ?, ?, ?, Vandeweghe. So...I guess I'm racist when it comes to 80s basketball.
