Lazard #1 WR in 2014

Coached him in 8th grade. Kid is one of the smartest football players I have ever seen. He will be a great fit at Iowa State.

I'm guessing Allen would be like Blythe if Blythe ran like Heyward-Bey and Heyward-Bey could catch the ball like Cris Carter but only if Carter could run routes like Jerry Rice. So Allen is like Jerry Rice.

Exactly, but don't forget about how he's like Randy Moss, since Randy Moss is apparently the best ever

I really, really. . . really hope he sticks with us. If not, i still wish him the best. But damn, that would be awesome if he stayed with us. I am Capt. Obvious being super obvious.

Not only is ISU fortunate to have a kid with this talent, but we are lucky that he comes from our own backyard. All of the rigors faced with a new way of life will be much easier with his family and friends around to support him. Moving away from home and facing a great deal of responsibility is not an easy thing and it certainly can affect a players production and development. At least we know he won't have some sort of culture shock or homesickness which many of us have felt when he steps on campus.

Great article and great to see Allen is solid as a Cyclone. He sounds like a very impressive and grounded young man, the kind of kid that will keep working hard to get better and better. With the tools and athletic ability he has, no telling how good he can be someday. Guys like Campos, Lanning and Lazard are helping establish ISU as the place to go for the top CIML players. It looks like we have some good young qb's now, but if Allen's commitment can help bring in another top notch qb in the future, all the better.
