I'd really like to see ISU do a little bit better than just bowl eligibility this year. Would like to see us get over the 6 win hump this year. Would love to see 8+ wins. The D is certainly good enough for it - the real question is will the offense be good enough to not continuously hang the D out to dry?
LULZI had to watch it on game cast also. At first I was a tad worried that the offense wasn't doing enough, but as the game rolled on, I was very happy with what I saw. The things that I didn't like--the turnovers, the penalties, etc. are things we've seen before but we already know that those are problems and I have complete faith the players are beating themselves up about these already, so I trust they'll resolve these issues. So I'm not going to waste time worrying about that. In the end, I'm feeling very good about our present and future teams.
From what I perceived, Jared Barnett performed well. I'm glad he we have him.
No, QB Sam Richardson didn't show his arm, but if I recall correctly he ran for a first down and did orchestrate a touchdown. That was his first time on the field at Jack Trice. That's a profound first step in his career here. He will remember it always. He performed well.
A lot of young guys got playing time and it seemed like they played ferociously solid. We have a good team now and the future looks bright. Thank you Coach Rhoads!
