My (tame) 21st birthday story was that we went to the bar fairly early, and I told the folks with us that you can buy me a beer, but don't buy me a shot...at that point, I was over drinking for 'getting drunk'. A friend got there late, hadn't heard that, got me a shot of bacardi 151. To be polite, I drank it. About 2 minutes later, stomach said no, but I puked up that shot only. Went back to drinking beer, was fine the rest of the night.
