I don't see us being able to pull out a win here, but there are a few very important matches in terms of rankings and showing growth as a team.
At 125, Ryak Finch has been great but seems to hit a wall when going up against guys ranked in the top 10. A win over Morrison would show that he has the capability to AA this year. Right now I think Ryak is an R12 guy at best, so if he can break through with some wins over guys ranked between 6th and 11th that could be a big difference for team points in March.
at 141, Luke Goettl lost to Kindig in his first match of the year on a pin. However, Luke is a totally different wrestler right now and I think he will make this competitive at the least. A win today would solidify Luke as an auto-qualifier and would put him into the conversation as a possible high AA.
At 157, Mike Moreno has finally broken through and started to get some wins, including beating a ranked guy on Friday night. Albert White is a good wrestler, but not an elite wrestler. If Mike gets a win today I like his chances of qualifying for Nationals in March. Mike fought through a lot of adversity this season so I'd love to see it continue to pay off.
