hILTON mAGIC IS SO CLOSE TO BEING BACK i CAN TASTE IT!!!!

your right i have never seen hilton magic guess that is my fault. sorry the program has been in the dark ages for 6 years and if you think it is really that big of a factor why dont you you get off your *** and cheer the whole game. but that isnt the point hilton freaking magic doesnt shoot free throws[/QUOTE]

It may not make them, but I remember when John Sunvold who was shooting free throws at a 93% clip for the top 10 Tigers missed 2 towards the end of the game that allowed ISU to beat the Tigers. The place was so loud the seats and floor was shaking.. Oh and there was not an empty seat in the place..
Yea but it doesn't make OUR team hit free throws. That was what the point of the post and what lost us the game.

We're not arguing that at all.. we're saying that hilton magic is not the hilton magic we know, and what we remember. The "hilton magic" now is pathetic compared to what it used to be. The crowd when it was in it's prime would embarass the crowd tonight.

Live with it. and if you wanna do something about it you make the change. Maybe they should give wins and losses to the team with better crowds. its flat out talent and coaching that wins games

Same thing happened during the OSU game.. he was a 90 something % FT shooter missed them... why? THE CROWD!

At least people are still showing up. With what fans have endured the last 5 seasons there could have been 6000 there tonight.

The crowd was excellent tonight despite the impending doom of a snowstorm. The players gave it everything they had.

Sorry man. The crowd no longer get's loud at the right time. The crowd these days sits on thier ***** until the team makes them excited. Back in the Day of the Magic the crowd got off their ***** when the chips were down and "willed" the team to a victory. Now the team just feeds off of the nervous "energy" of the crowd....and look what happens

The problem is there are too many old people unwilling to stand and cheer while basking in their "glory days," and there are too many young people sitting on their hands and texting throughout the game.

When you look at old games at Hilton, all the crowd looks pretty young.

Here is a tweet from Chris Williams and it hits the nail on the head. this is straight from Scott Christopherson's Mouth.

Very accurate quote from Scott Christopherson: "When it came down to money time, they executed and we didn’t."

They should just tell the students to stay at home. Then they can go get the students from the early 90s to fill Cyclone Alley. I'm sure that would get the floor shaking like the good ole days.

you're accepting the crowd being mediocre? okay, have fun with that.
I would.. but I don't even go to college at Iowa State.
Any ******* moron understands that the crowd won't be mediocre when the team finally gets out of the basement of the Big 12.

Jesus ******
We're not arguing that we didn't excecute! We know we didn't! We came out flat the second half, and couldn't hit our free throws!

We are saying that students today are not ANYTHING like they were back in Real Hilton Magic.. not this fake crap like today.

Are there points in the game where the students should be louder?.. Yes of course, but with all do respect looking around in the 1st half I saw alot of people in the parquet sitting quiet. Yes they get loud on occasion, but this argument could come from both ends. How about everyone gets louder and stops pointing fingers

Maybe he missed them by chance. I mean it wasnt a conclusion that he was automatically going to make them. oh and about the floor shaking and stands shaking maybe it is because things are built better now.

So when did they tear down Hilton and rebuild it? Damn never heard about that.

I blame twitter and facebook, people don't have the vocal chord power anymore since they are not required to communicate via voice so things cannot be as loud:jimlad:

I'd give the crowd a 7. Plenty of room for improvement. Tried to be loud at times. It would be an 8 or 8.5 if people would stop getting up and leaving their seats in the last 2 minutes. Anyone ever think about how stupid that looks on TV when the crowd is giving up on a 2 possession game in the final couple minutes of the game. Come for the game, stay in your seat, keep yelling!!!

It is funny that you still don't get it.
