I didn't think it was quiet. It definitely wasn't any less loud than the rest of the place.you're missing the point... did you think that the student section was loud?

I'm gonna say something that some of you wont want to hear. hilton magic doesnt win games. and im tired of hearing about how the crowd sucked. update the crowd doesnt win games. its the players and coaches who get the job done. i agree the crowd helps but it doesnt help enough.
I don't think there were any students sitting on their ***. Pretty sure they stand the whole game. Find something else to ***** about.![]()
im sure the players give credit to the crowd when they upset a team.![]()
So young. You have no ******* clue what crowds at ISU can do for the team.I'm gonna say something that some of you wont want to hear. hilton magic doesnt win games. and im tired of hearing about how the crowd sucked. update the crowd doesnt win games. its the players and coaches who get the job done. i agree the crowd helps but it doesnt help enough.
Sorry but it is going to take not going on a 6 year postseason drought. The crowd is pretty damn good for a team that has finished near last in the Big 12 the last 6 years. It wouldn't be this good anywhere else.I think many on here are too young to remember what Hilton Magic really is. Tonight was not Hilton Magic. It wasn't bad, but was nowhere near what it was like in Freddy's days here when I was a student.
Like Fred has said, he's felt the court shaking before when he played. It used to be downright hostile. Now it's not all that difficult on the other team. It can definately get better.
BUT... it's NOT why we lost the game. Shoot FT's better and we win. Plain and simple.

your right i have never seen hilton magic guess that is my fault. sorry the program has been in the dark ages for 6 years and if you think it is really that big of a factor why dont you you get off your *** and cheer the whole game. but that isnt the point hilton freaking magic doesnt shoot free throws
False. I saw many students sitting down near the end of the game on the Mizzou bench side. I should have seen it coming when they sat through the fight song many times throughout the game.I don't think there were any students sitting on their ***. Pretty sure they stand the whole game. Find something else to ***** about.![]()
Let me be clear:
I am NOT criticizing students. McD put our program so far back.
If I lived in state I'd be at every game willing my Hilton neighbors to get loud (or kill me).
Free throws lost this game not lack of crowd cheering.

That being said, the loud *** crowd ISU can be gives players a huge adrenaline rush that can push them over the edge. IT WILL HAPPEN AGAIN!

It may not make them, but I remember when John Sunvold who was shooting free throws at a 93% clip for the top 10 Tigers missed 2 towards the end of the game that allowed ISU to beat the Tigers. The place was so loud the seats and floor was shaking.. Oh and there was not an empty seat in the place..

Maybe he missed them by chance. I mean it wasnt a conclusion that he was automatically going to make them. oh and about the floor shaking and stands shaking maybe it is because things are built better now.
