Don't know if this has been a thread, but I would love to thank Rutgers fans for their advice on this site. At first I didn't think I would go, but after some help from them about cheap ideas and things for me to plea my case to the parents I will be going! Hopefully it will be a great game and a large crowd makes it out to Yankee Stadium. See you all in the Big Apple!

I would like to second the OP. You guys have all been really, nice, polite, helpful, and know your football. Should the Big East implode I would personally welcome a school with such good fans

RU fans are pretty nice, pretty excited to meet some of them out in New York

Sometimes, this NY/NJ attitude gets tagged as pushy, but I think we have seen that they just jump in when they have something to offer. A typical NY/NJ guy will tell you exactly what to do because they think they know something really special and helpful for you. They understand if you choose to do something else, but they don't hesitate to let you know what they think you ought to know. It isn't truly pushiness, but aggressive helpfulness. I love it.

My best friend is from NH/Boston- I think the majority of people in this great country are caring, but the dark side of East Coast people is the pushiness. It is obvious that the dark side of Midwesterners is passive aggressiveness. That and meth.

Glad to help and keep asking as more RU fans will be on this board as they find it and will give any info needed. And we all are not Joisey shore MTV type Guido's that are not from NJ, ....... Looking forward to meeting some of you in Yankee Stadium and hope for an injury free close game...

I love reading all the advice from the Rutgers fans. Even though I am not going there are some good tips for a future venture to NYC. I like these kids all ready and would welcome Rutgers into the Big 12.

Sadly, I think, that our opinion of the "east" has been swayed by that of UCONN. Rutgers alum that I've dealt with have been truly wonderful over the years. While I'd love to have them in the Big XII their profile really fits pretty well with the Big10. In fact, I'd like to see an Iowa State/Rutgers combination get pulled for the B1G's next round of expansion. Rutgers academics are very solid, much like our own (ISU's - not mine personally!). I'm looking forwad to the game and have already begun the stone-busting with long-time Rutgers friends.

Or add Rutgers to the Big 12, now that we reach to West Virginia.

If you really would like to get to know us Jersians, study this map

That map is hilarious. My first job out of college was in Philly. I worked for an engineering consulting company and spent a considerable amount of time in Jersey for work.

I agree that Camden is a third world country

GREAT!! I'm sending this to my friend who lives in Edison (so he knows that he's amongst drunken Rutgers students) and my friend who came from Mutchen (so he knows that all his former neighbors are now from India---as if he doesn't already know that!).

You guys (Rutgers posters) have been fun and helpful---keep up the good vibes and let's be sure we find a way to meet up on the 30th.

I've never even been to Jersey, but that map is priceless. I had no idea it was so diverse!
