Top 15 probably not. Top 20-25 yeah. Though theyve had some stretches where they stayed up in the top 10-15 for awhile.

Agreed. Most fanbases over-estimate their value (see: University of Iowa). Top 15 is a bit much. According to the link, they finished...
2009 25th
2008 23rd
2007 6th
2006 10th
2005 5th
2004 NA
2003 NA
2002 25th
2001-1994 NA
1993 7th

And then about 5 years in the 80s where they finished in the teens.

Not bad (I would love to have it) but it ain't a perennial top 15. It is a heck of a lot better tradition than Mizzou, though!

Just for kicks, I dialed in to the Mizzou conference call. Doing a roll call of the people on the call. All the major sports and news outlets are represented, ESPN, SportsIllustrated, CBSSports, USAToday, etc... A couple of local sports outlets. Next thing you know random people start chiming in. One person said they were representing BYU. Someone identified themselves as the WestVirginiaSports.com Conference Reallignment Board.

A couple of the sports radio stations are broadcasting their feed over the conference call, and random people are yelling to mute.

Funny stuff.

They have really feasted on the relatively weak BigEast without VaTech. Prior to that, thet had a handful of good teams in the prior three or four decades.

I will give them credit for playing decently in the BCS on the big stage when given the opportunity.

Top15 is really pushing it. I think they are borderline Top25, in a group of about 30 schools who could say "Hey, we're a Top25" program.

Definitely better than Missouri. Missouri is in the bottom 20 along with us based on the bigtime TV era of football (~1980) - they really shouldn't let the last 5 years go to their heads THAT much.

lol, how does one jump in on this?

Random people are messing with the conference call right now. They announced they will mute everyone once the press conference starts.

Lots of tigerboard people announcing themselves now.

Someone introduced themselves as Dan Beebe.

Very tempting to pull something like this:

All of this Mizzou talk? Is anything official as far as them getting an invite from anyone? Everything I've heard, the SEC has said, no invite has been sent. (I know not to believe that) but just wondering what the real info is. could With the West Virginia article that was just posted about them being in the SEC, could this have been another issue of Mizzou somehow getting played like they did with the Big 10. Knowing they'd be vocal about it and take the heat off of WVU?
