Let's all watch this erection together!

Anyone know an estimated timeline for tonight's festivities?

Any reason they are doing this at night instead of day? (I haven't followed this that closely, I apologize)

likely due to wind conditions. They need less than 8mph wind on the top of the jake for 2 hours.

Because the wind is more calm at night. And it's supposed to be windy the next couple of days.

A few reasons that make this time work:

1. It was reported theyd need to be under a certain wind level (8mph), and the wind is forecasted to rise as the week continues.

2. It was reported somewhere that they may have had to have the Jake cleared out of people during the lift.. no disruption to work there if they do it at night.

Anyone gonna post a pic since most can't see it?

I've got it on good authority that the good stuff won't happen until 11 or after. As some have stated, they lift it a few feet and inspect the heck out of it before putting it on top.

You definitely want it well inspected before placing it in position!

Just stopped down there. Decided that since I only live a few blocks away, it was easier to drive down there then waiting for the dang video to load. JP was even down there checking out things but left not to long after I got there.

Doing homework and watching the live feed at the same time! I love the Windows 7 snap feature!!

Looks like they are attaching the angled iron pieces to the bottom of the crosspiece.
