lattimer and howard suspended indefinately

How is Paul Rhoads supposed to be a teacher when his last arrest was at a prior school? I just think the kid needs help, how would cutting him loose help him? I know I may sound greedy, but I am tired as HELL of being a cellar dweller in the Big 12, this kid is a legit 1st Team All Big 12.
This is a very tough call IMO.
Take Royce White for instance. I think it was right of Fred to give Royce another shot at life here at ISU.
However, IMO, if Royce commits one single indiscretion here, I want him off the team. Pure and simple. He should have been told when he got here that he's already had strike one and strike two against him. One single strike at ISU and you're gone.
So the Lattimer situation isn't all that different IMO. If we took a chance on him, even with his prior record, then he should have been on a short leash... very short.
I know the details of every situation are different, but considering Lattimer's prior troubles, I'd be very dissappointed in just a one game suspension.

No. The kid with the shattered jaw needs help.
The help this "kid" needs is a firm reality check that his problematic behavior invalidated his meal ticket.
I gotta ask, just how much personal worth do you have invested in a football team if you are willing to deny your conscience?
I love ISU. But I am not going to excuse athletes from their obligation to be good neighbors just so I have something to do in December / January.
Truth. We all want to win, but it's looking like this guy blew his chance at redemption, and it's disturbing enough when hearing about his first offense "prior" to joining ISU.
I predict you are incorrect, and he will play this year after serving a suspension. I heard the same thing you are saying here about David Sims last season.

Well said. A kid can have a mean streak and play good defense without being a thug off the field. And that's what Lattimer is -- a thug.
Burn me at the stake but let howard and latt serve there suspensions and be done with it. If it makes me a horrible human being, I'm perfectly fine with it.

A thug really? Do you even know him? I must have missed out where he was robbing people, selling drugs, committing felonies, killing people?
He has gotten in a few fights, how is that any different then any other typical college kid getting in a few fights while intoxicated....
To call a kid a thug who is still currently a cyclone is pathetic.
What Lattimer did is more than just a fight he did it with the intention to hurting someone so that makes him a thug.
Well what other intention is there in a fight??? Just to throw a few punches for the hell of it?
Lattimer and another player break a guys jaw and pummel him when the guy by all reports made no attempt to fight back. I don't see any facts that could justify that.
