Concerts This Spring/Summer

Where is this at, I have heard nothing?? Usually I am on top of that stuff.... I am overly pumped for Dropkick and Against Me, I just heard on Friday that Off With Their Heads are opening too..... If you have not heard everyone needs to, very awesome..... Then the Street Dogs are the next day at Vaudeville Mews....

The Official Site for James McMurtry

Saw it first in Juice, and then double checked it on his site. Been cranking the Live in Aught Three album ever since.

Here is what is floating around as the 4 multi day festivals and dates.... Nothing is set...

June 24-26 bader field ac
july 8-10 chicago-lakeside
aug 26-28 governors island nyc
sept 2-4 gorge
onsale 3/5

I agree I can't wait to see Stone Sour and Avenged Sevenfold!!!!!!!
Are they having a second stage again this year? Just not listed yet? That line-up looks pretty awesome, although why the hell is Queensryche behind freaking 3 days grace and Seether? That's terrible. If they still have a second stage as awesome as last year, I'm going to have to be *cough cough* sick on the monday the 16.

I just got this email from DMB about the "rumored" summer events

SAVE THE DATES!

Dave Matthews Band will host four three-day music festivals across the US this summer. The multi-stage events will feature a wide array of diverse musical talent with Dave Matthews Band performing a headlining set each night. Exact locations, lineups, ticketing and lodging info will be announced soon.

JUNE 24-26...North East/Mid Atlantic
JULY 8-10...Midwest
AUGUST...coming soon!
SEPTEMBER...coming soon!

Judas Priest is doing a farewell tour. They are in Europe on it now and haven't set the US dates yet. Whatever city is closest is where I will be.

Me too, CYKID! I had one opportunity to see them in concert once before and couldn't go because a friend was getting married.

That looks bad ***. I'm going to guess that the Midwest venue is Alpine Valley?

Wish it was, that's where it should be so you can camp. Rumor has been Chicago. Was Grant park or Notherly Island but guess it has hit some snags and that is what is holding the full announcement up. The NE fest is going to be in Atlantic City and the September fest is at the Gorge.

Couple of big time indie rock/accoustic acts coming through the midwest in June - Ray Lamontagne and Pariah Dogs in Chicago for a outdoor concert in Millennium Park and Iron and Wine at People's.

Alright guys I just went to homers to pick up my ryan bingham tickets for tonights show... It is at the waiting room in Omaha and is a small venue 350 but will squeeze in 500... Only 200 tickets appox sold...

So if ya want to see a good show tonight and dont have anything going on brave the rain/snow mix and get out!!!

Also the longer the DMB deal goes without anouncing the more I feel it wont be at grant park in chicago... Im hearing that possibly alpine as a alternative...

I am pretty pumped for the Take Action Tour Coming May 21st to Peoples, Bayside, Silverstein, Polar Bear Club, Swellers, and Texas in July(or something like that). I have always wanted to see Bayside, and PBC and Swellers are sweet additions.....

Looking forward to Return to Forever IV this summer. They've added Jean-Luc Ponty to the group.

Hopefully the come to the Red Sky Music Festival in Omaha This year... BUT i really doubt that dmb will do ANY shows this year.... But i hope im wrong...

Have you seen a line-up anywhere for Red Sky? I have been trying to find one for a long time, this could be a really cool downtown Omaha tradition if they treat it right. Sounds like a bunch of different styles/sounds over the 5-6 days. I have also heard DMB linked to it but that was right after he played here in Oct.

This is causing drama in my relationship. My girlfriend is a huge DMB fan while they're not my cup of tea. The Midwest festival falls on my birthday weekend. She wants to think I'm going, I know I'm not :twitcy:
