The NFL should just make the offenses go back to running the ball more... that would cut down on the chances your QB gets hit. If the offense passes over 55% of the plays they get fined.
It clearly was not any kind of hit to the head. The only thing I think is worthy of drawing a flag is it appears he "winds up" his arm to put an extra force on the hit like people do when they go to punch someone or use their foreman as was the call. Whereas, had Suh used both arms for a regular push to the ground, he is strong enough to do so. Of course, no one is thinking of that in the heat of the moment.
As a Bears fan, I will gladly take the penalty (albeit ended up only being a 7-yard penalty.) However, if that was my defensive lineman laying that kind of hit on an opposing quarterback, I'd probably have a problem with it.
It certainly was not deserving of a fine.
