WBB Recruiting continued...

I think we have reloaded quite well this year. We have the New Aus. and **** coming in at the point, we have the pure shooter from Cal. to play off gaurd, and we have Hallie coming in to help in the post. Add to that the walkon from Panorama and we have 11 bodies and several backups at our weakest position. Yes, we could add another post walkon to help with depth. But, BF only usually goes 8 or 9 deep anyway. I like this team and think it will be a good base for 2011's big class.

Looking forward to next season, too bad that pesky summer and some sport called football stands in the way...

If so, I'm not surprised - she wants to start right away apparently according to the article. Nothing is guaranteed in BF's team. Not that I imply that Bluder guarantees her to play right away but that's what I sense from her quote that considering that EIU are short of players, she can start right away

According to a Texas Tech board, we offered 2011 Joey Bailey 6-3, Gunter, Texas.

My step-mom said she saw Coach Curry at the Boo Williams Nike Invitational in Virginia. One of the players she was scouting is on my little sister's (Peyton Little) team. She's a junior forward that was offered by Iowa State on Friday(Apr 16th).

Notes

-Class of 2011 Power Forward Joey Bailey (Gunter, TX/ CY Fair Hensle) was a standout performer all weekend. She has the versatility to score in the lane as well as on the perimeter. Bailey should receive major interest from a number of college's at different levels.

She (Hansen) is not very tall for a 4, but that is our deepest position, if an outside shooter like Z is considered a 4. I wonder if this means we're done for this signing period? We'll be ok if we get the 2 walk on guards we've heard about...

Her stats don't really jump out at you, but I guess if you are on a national championship team for 2 years that counts for something.

Perhaps she was needed, but her stats don't jump out at me, personally, I'd rather save a scholarship for the 2011 class that is LOADED! But I am not BF, so my opinion matters little and isn't worth much.

Throwing a name out there with absolutely no evidence that she has anything at all to do with ISU:

Avigiel Cohen is a top-notch PG for Israel's U18/19 national team. She just turned 18 last month, so she's about the right age to start this fall. She also plays a position we could really use depth at. She's 1.8 m -- about 5'11".

She's interviewed about her future here:

Anybody know Hebrew? She says the word "college" toward the end of the clip.

I was hoping we were going after Avri Casspi. In 2009 she average 18.6 ppg for the Isreal team. She is the younger sister of Omri Casspi an NBA guard. She sounds like a shooter and something we will need next season.

It's possible. She just turned 17, though, so she might not be starting college this fall.

Kalli put up good #'s when you factor in that she did not even practice during the 2nd half of the season due to a shoulder injury and was in constant pain during games.

Also, Kim's teams very rarely have someone put up big #'s...the leading scorer this year averaged a little over 10 ppg while the team averaged about 75.
