Leno or Letterman?

Both have bits I like. Generally I don't like Leno but his headlines are pretty funny. Letterman is doing a knock-off of that now too. Know your cuts of meat on Letterman is always great. I used to work in the meat room back in high school and college so I could usually get most of them.
OK, I'm that guy after 11 votes. Haven't stayed up late enough to watch either since my little girl was born last February. When I did, Leno was my man.

I do like Leno's headlines and it is almost scary when he goes out on the streets to show how dumb the average american (or californian) is....
I loved it when Dave went mano-a-mano with that curmudgeon Bill O'Reilly last year....

Leno tells a joke and then seems to think that he needs to explain it.
If you need to explain the joke you have one of two problems.
Either the joke isn't funny or the guy telling it isn't.
Plus, Leno has to make an innuendo about everything. Most of the time, the aren't even funny.
I love Conan. It'll be interesting to see what happens when he takes over for Jay. I wonder if NBC will make him tone down some of his skits.

I have to defend the Californian's on this one. They interview people on Hollywood Blvd. which is mostly made up of tourists. So, really most of them aren't Californians because anyone in their right minds that live in LA don't want to hang out on Hollywood Blvd. with the crazy people dressed up as superheroes.
I used to be Letterman but he seems to have gotten very bitter the last few years. Has more of an opinion. I don't like that from a light night interview guy. So I have been watching Leno for a while now. Ross the intern is a kill.
Dave came off as ignorant in that, if you ask me. He was trying to make it into a joke and funny, which is understandable considering the point of his show. If they were to have a similar interview on O'Reilly's show, I think it would have been more evident that Dave is far from an expert on those topics. I think Dave is great at his job and love his show, but I think he should stay away from politics.
Overall, I'd go with Dave. Although Leno's headlines are absolutely hilarious.
