***2026-27 College Football (non-ISU) Thread***

Real slobber-knocker of a schedule.

Florida State (7-4-1) as an independent, right before they got really good.
South Carolina (3-6-2) as an independent.
Illinois (4-7)
Oregon (5-6)
6 Big Eight games against teams that finished the regular season 6-5 or worse
Oklahoma
i mean... the plan is to go 3-0 in the non con then you only need to go 7-2 in conference and you are a playoff team. if/when the playoffs expand you only need to go 6-3 in conference.

If you are interested article on the shake-up of some of the ESPN CFB announcer teams for this upcoming Fall:

For the Season Opener at Lambeau Field Wisconsin & Notre Dame are going color vs. color uniforms. Neither which are particularly good.

FPI Rankings are out…which is usually not very good.

Ranked #72 which I believe is DFL out of the P4 schools.

Iowa at #25.

I think Iowa at #25 is a hard coded value every year. :jimlad:

Yep, DFL out of P4 but all but 2 of PAC-12 schools are below us. How the F are Cal, Syracuse, Purdue and Rutgers ahead of us?
