You know you're well into the back nine of life when your favorite oldies are too old to be classified as oldies. Ouch.50's and 60's will always be oldies to me. I would call 80's and 90's classic before oldies.

Green Day's Dookie was released closer in time to both the Apollo 11 moon landing and the Beatles landing in America than present day. This is one of those times that math makes me cry...
10 year old me in 1984 driving around with my parents listening to 30 year old "oldies" station from the 50's
10 year olds today driving around with their parents listening to 30 year old "oldies" artists Smashing Pumpkins, Green Day, and Nirvana.......
Do you drive a lot? I couldn't imagine paying to listen to anything. My wife always has Spotify bluetooth when she's in the car but for me I can just switch between 6 regular radio stations. 92.3, 101.1, 103.3, 106.7, 104.1, 102.5. Order of choice actually how I listed them.
Im a bit the opposite of you. I also drive about 50k miles per year for work, but I can only do music for a short periods of time then I get bored. Podcasts to me make the time go by faster. So, I’m usually 90% podcasts and 10% music when driving.Yes I do. I put about 50k miles a year on my SUV going to clients, then add in driving the racecar hauler all over the midwest and then local/errand driving.
None of the local stations appeal to me, I used to listen to 103,3 but its garbage now,
Not worried about paying for the subscription, it's a business expense.
Same I need sports/news or a documentary to listen to.Im a bit the opposite of you. I can’t imagine doing this any more. Between all the commercials to try and avoid and the terrible, repetitive music selection on most the stations I’d rather just ride in silence than the headache this would give me.Do you drive a lot? I recommend the Unabomber doc.Same I need sports/news or a documentary to listen to.
What’d Condon do to get suspended?Fales bit was great. Didn't hold back on what he thought of iHeart and dropped some truth bombs. Honestly I'll be a bit surprised if Condon's show airs again on KXNO if he did get suspended for what happened Wednesday. Just because he buys his air time doesn't mean he can say whatever he wants. Even if he does get back on air I would guess he's already been shopping around for a new place to land after what happened. Probably a lot easier to get advertisers when your show is bookend by 2 other local shows. The drive time shows are where the ratings and advertisement dollars are best spent as people want to listen to something local to and from their commute to work. I did not make a point to listen to Miller and Condon because I'm too consumed with work during the day to listen to anything and unless I heard that there was something good on their show that day I didn't listen to the podcast either.
The morning and afternoon shows were convenient because I could just turn on KXNO when I got in the car and if I wasn't interested in the topics I would just change to something else. Even crappy local sports talk is still better the national shows that will be aired instead as there is not an appetite for all the pro sports talk on those shows since we do not have a pro team in the state.

You'd have to listen to the podcast but he didnt exactly speak well of iHeart and basically said since he buys his time on the air and is not employed by them he is able to talk about the layoffs. Then at the end apparently Heather was in getting her things so Trent brought her on air and she even said something asking if she should be on the air. Trent said its his show he can have whoever he wants on. So my guess is it had to do something with what he said plus letting Heather on the air even if it was just a few minutes. What’d Condon do to get suspended?
Sounds like Trent DGAFYou'd have to listen to the podcast but he didnt exactly speak well of iHeart and basically said since he buys his time on the air and is not employed by them he is able to talk about the layoffs. Now that is what sports journalism is all about. You'd have to listen to the podcast but he didnt exactly speak well of iHeart and basically said since he buys his time on the air and is not employed by them he is able to talk about the layoffs.
