I was only able to take advantage of the 2 for 1 fajitas a couple times before they closed.
Agree with KwikStar kicking Casey's, but how in the world does their stock price keep climbing so much? Wish I would have bought Casey's stock a decade or so ago(not looked up just assuming)

National growth. They've expanded a ton over the last 10 years.
I still remember being shocked to see blue tortillas and being asked if I wanted an egg on top of one of my meals. I was like sure, go for it, it's only a dollar. Incredible.
I think there has been like 5 or 6 different restaurants at the La Fuente location since it closed
I was all in on kwikstar 10 years ago and yes they are nice clean stores with their own branded snacks. However, Caseys is holding their own. Casey's rewards and Caseys food is much better than Kwikstar
Oh ya at least. That place and Northern Lights are just where places go to die unfortunately.
La Fuente was my college days. Nothing better than a big ol’ plate of enchiladas and gigantic margarita at age 19.
Casey’s food is better? That is shocking considering most casey’s you are lucky if there is a 5 hour old slice of pizza spinning around, while Kwik Star has 12 options any time of day and often more.
Gonna go ahead and disagree with you regarding the food. Kwik Star crushes Casey's in both variety and quality. Where they have competing stores, Kwik Star is killing Casey's and that's not even up for debate. The reality of the situation is that Casey's no longer cares about the consumer base that built the company and instead they have shifted efforts elsewhere. I get the nostalgia factor but Casey's pizza and their other food options have slipped big time.
i think Casey’s will be fine. People like their pizza, especially the breakfast pizza. Kwik Star is larger and has more offerings, plus their fried chicken is pretty good. I like both. Other stores might continue to get squeezed with Kwik Star coming in would be my guess. Haven’t been in a Maverick yet.

Do Kwik Stars have actual kitchens or do they just heat up what came off the truck? Some of the stores seem too small to do any actual cooking. Not that their food is bad - I like their burgers.
Started early March and opening in early August. They have the process down pat.
They have a kitchen. Their fried chicken is hand breaded and fried fresh daily.
2005ish you could still score the dominos takeout order of a medium cheese for like 3.99 and then add toppings for $1 a piece. The amount of times I staggered across Lincoln Way late at night holding that box on a mission to go find a quiet spot on campus to indulge is too many to count.
Was that the place that everyone would go to for giant margs on their 21st?
