Big XII options for sanctioning Texas Tech

Agreed, I dont understand how Cincinnati and Indiana haven't been dragged into this yet. Seems like the NCAA has time on their hands, should be doing some investigating into what the schools there knew.
Exactly!!!
I’ve repeatedly said this!
My opinion is that if he was betting, chances are there was probably another one on those teams doing it as well !
AND,….. the ncaa doesn’t want to chance that it may have to investigate its holy child (Indiana) for possible infractions!
All scum ….!!!

If you wanted those schools punished, that would mean Iowa State should have been punished for Dekkers and others getting caught.

There’s only one way everyone comes out with a win here, and it’s if Soresby declares for the supplemental draft or holds himself out of playing this season while remaining with the team to prep for next season’s draft.

Soresby gets to say he never wanted to be a distraction and for the sake of his teammates he’s going to not play. He looks like a team player taking accountability for his actions and the character concerns NFL teams have on him are lessened if only a little.

TT and Campbell get to say they still support him and his recovery and that they would’ve litigated on his behalf until the bitter end but respect his decision. They also get to look like they big dicked the Big 12.

The Big 12 wins by not backing down from a dumbassed member school that’s too big for its britches without having to severely hamper said school which also happens to be the most nationally relevant brand in the conference.

If I was TT I’d be pressuring Soresby to “decide on his own” to not play this upcoming season. But I doubt they’re that smart.

Cincy and Indiana will ultimately be investigated by the NCAA to determine if they had knowledge of Sorsby's gambling and failed to report. It's just a matter of time before the formal investigation begins. I think the NCAA is more focused on trying to ensure Sorsby doesn't play as the Cincy/Indiana investigation isn't as much of a pressing matter.

Sorsby probably isn't eligible for the supplemental draft.

He's technically still eligible to play NCAA Football and the supplemental draft is only for players that are ineligible. He's in a real spot here and I hope the absolute worst outcome for him.
If TTech boots him, it will be less than 24 hours before LSU picks him up.

I am somewhat kidding.

And the other schools in the Big 12, and the league office know it. They have no fear Tech could get angry and try to bolt for another league. The Big 10 and SEC won't touch them. Good on the Big 12 for using leverage.
There is no single school that is very important in the current Big 12. Any one could leave, or get kicked out and it wouldn't make a significant difference. TT is acting like they're Texas or OU. They're not. They're just like the rest of us.

I think with the deadline of the supplemental draft being June 22nd, I think that my force Sorsby's hand.
He doesn't want to give up his $5M. If this was 5 years ago, he would've just accepted the ban and tried to go pro.

Tech social media idiots just got dumb and dumber

I love to see the idiots do that. Might as well drop football.

I can't see many D1 schools signing up to play them. Playing Lubbock Christian 12x isn't a resume builder for the CFP committee.

I think the initial play of getting a retired judge to reinstate him and then have the appeal drag past the season was working. Now it's looking worse for him and he just may see the writing on the wall.

And the only option would be go Independent(lol) or the new Pac 12. Good luck.

It’d be pretty funny to go from “The PAC 12 is going to murder the Big XII by poaching Oklahoma and Texas” to, a few years later, “Texas Tech is leaving the Big XII for the PAC 12, joining Texas State, Utah State, Boise State, and Fresno State so their gambling QB can still play football.”

We have skin in the game here. Iowa AG should get on board since both Iowa and Iowa State had athletes involved in gambling and were made ineligible. Oklahoma, Kansas and Utah AG's are backing the NCAA and Big XII decision.
But are now competing. We are in a tough a lot.
