*** Cyclone Fanatic Fast Food Tournament Round of 32 ***

McDonalds french fries are the bomb. That alone gets my vote.

The DQ near my house does something weird and I want to see if this happens elsewhere. I'll order, go to to window and pay. They will always tell me to pull ahead regardless if there is abolutely nobody in line behind me.

This isn't like someone is at the speaker and just hasn't made it around yet. I can see the entrance so I know that nobody else is even in the parking lot.

I always comply versus questioning their reasoning and risk retaliation, but I just don't get it. They'll do it when it's raining, too, so I don't feel like it's an excuse to get outside

I've had other places do that too.

That does seem … unusual. I have not done DQ drive-thru in my area for at least a year so I don’t know if that’s some kind of franchise-wide practice

Culver’s and Freddy’s is close to the same thing
To me, Culver's is better overall, but their sundaes are the clincher. Every Freddie's I've been to skimps big time on hot fudge. Basically eating vanilla ice cream with a bit of HF on top. Not so at Culver's. Easy vote for me.

TJ's vs. TB is a great 2nd round matchup. No tournament is complete without the bizarre 8/9 over 1 upset.

In & Out vs. Steak & Shake appears to be the down to the wire matchup.

Voted Tasty Tacos, but biased and Chick Fil A probably deserves to win.

If McDonalds still had some value to it, I'd give them the nod. I can't do that anymore because they've priced themselves out as being a budget option but still serve the same low budget food. I'll take a 5 guys burger over McDonalds 100 percent of the time.
Five Guys burger is definitely better, but I do like McD's coffee and breakfast.

Five Guys vs McDs was tough. 5 is the better burger, but breakfast put me in McDs camp. McMuffin with the hash brown and OJ or coffee is still probably my favorite classic fast food breakfast.

McDonald’s is still my favorite fast food breakfast in Des Moines. Everything else is bad. Well, except the fries are at least average.

South region game 1

1. Culver's (Heart emoji)
8. Freddy's (Rainbow emoji)

This is a tough one for me. We have both basically across the street from one another. Have to go with nostalgia and go Culver's, but I do like the fries at Freddy's.

My son loves Culver's, my daughter is Freddy's all the way, so it can be a bit of a battle choosing between the two.
