CF After Dark Draft: Best Single game FB performances

I listened to the podcast on this and enjoyed thinking back to some great performances. Some great memories to look back on.

A few of my favorites:
Todd Blythe vs A&M in 2005 - 8 rec, 214 yards; 4tds - I remember watching this at my brother's place and shocked at blowing out the Aggies in College Station

Joel Lanning vs Tech in 2016 - 17 car, 171 yards; 5tds (as a QB) - smoked Mahomes that day. I didn't realize Lanning had that many yards that day.

Brock Purdy vs ULM in 2019 - 435 passing yards, 3 passing TDs, 75 rushing yards - 3 rushing TDs. Game was most memorable for Re-al Mitchell's jelly legs run.

There was also a few names I hadn't heard in a long time.
Ennis Haywood and Hiawatha Rutland - RIP to both

Good one for sure.

Another possibly off-radar for Jantz, vs. Baylor in 2012, 36-of-51, 381 yards, 5 TDs. Jarvis West had 99 yards & 3 Td catches, so he was part of that mix.

Hakeem Butler dropping a near 200 burger in the Alamo Bowl-2018?

2006- Ryan Kock (backup RB/FB) runs for 179 Yards on 33 Carries, in McCarney's final game at ISU.
They basically ran the same FB Power behind Left Tackle about 10 times in a row, in the 4th Qtr, to seal the W.

I was at the Blythe game. Flew down with the team and my brothers. Sat next to Mr Benson the whole flight and he told me Johnny Orr stories about Johnny driving his cars. Crazy stuff. Great time and kicking the crap out of them topped off the weekend

I was not able to see the Blythe game on TV. I don't know if it was shown in my region (remember "regional coverage?"), but also I was doing tasks that day for family-related stuff, checked scores later in the day and was astounded ISU won by that margin.

Troy Davis vs Missouri 1996. Rushed for 378yds. Clones threw the ball 15 times for 59yds. Missouri knew he was running, stacked the box, and still ran for, at the time, the 2nd highest NCAA all-time single game rush total.

This is still my favorite, we were in the bleachers and what many don't realize is he probably ran for about 700 yards as many of his runs were cutting back and forth clear across the field. You couldn't see TD behind all the lineman but it was sure fun watching Mizzou LBs and secondary break ankles.

Kemp at OU is a good 2nd - to come into that situation so calm and cool was absolutely amazing.

Seneca vs the hawks in The second half of 2002 was the greatest half in ISU history.

2011 Duran "Duck" Hollis vs Texas Tech. 101 yards and a touchdown on 4 carries. That's efficiency brotha.
Die hards will know this one.

That was a great game and made you wonder what if we had used Koch more in the running game that year would we won another game or 2. They pretty much knew that play was coming but still could not stop him. Just like how we used Woody at times, if it was 3rd and short you knew Woody was going to run it right up the middle and get the 1st down.
