And keep in mind he said he supposedly talked with "10 NBA executives." Everyone is assuming that means 10 different teams. But in actuality he could had talked with multiple executives from the same team and only talked to a few different NBA teams
Goodman is a doofus but I don't ever remember hearing him claim TJ was going to take another job. He will often say that TJ would be a target of other schools and he is probably right on that, but I don't think he ever said TJ was going to leave. Heck I even remember when the UNC job opened up he talked about how TJ was different and ISU meant a lot to him when a lot of the other field of 68 guys seemed to assume TJ would jump at the chance.
I honestly wouldn't know. No one has (yet) offered me that kind of money -- for anything.
I don't say this lightly - I'm beginning to dislike everything about college sports. I don't even have a desire to attend an ISU game of any kind in person anymore and watching is hit and miss. Kind of sad.
I think you've got him confused with someone else. He's always been pretty consistent that TJ is a different guy and that he fits Iowa State and Ames and the feeling is mutual.
Reporting that someone else is after him isn't saying that he's going to jump and leave. In fact, I'd argue that it's a good thing that his name keeps popping up on people's wish lists. Means Iowa State is in a good place and continuing to have success. Having a coach that people WANT to poach means things are going great.
Yeah I am right there, I will still root for ISU, but I am done donating and already passed on football tickets. May still get bball, winters here would suck without games to go to.
I hear you. I did the math a few years ago and determined my wife and I were spending around $660 to attend each home football game when you factor in donation, season tickets, and seat backs. So last season we gave up our tickets that we held for 30+ years.

Whole tailgate crew is going to go play 18 every sat and listen to the pregame on the radio and then find a bar for lunch and the game. Should take the pain away a bit.
Same boat, we did not renew our 4 football tickets for the fall, and are still debating if we are going to renew our WBB tickets. Both would have been no doubt decisions before the mass exits from both programs. Just as easy if not easier to watch the game at home.
Honestly, Milan should just go to UK, get his 5-7mil, and be done with it.

I understand your feeling and I am also very disillusioned by the state of college athletics. However, players coming like Toure, Batemon and Pleta keep me from fully disengaging. If they all leave after next season for more money at other "schools," I'll take it hard, but look toward the next group.
But outside of ISU, I really have no interest in college football and not much in cbb.

I agree that getting the transfers TJ has gotten has been great! I just wonder if we'll see another Tamin Lipsey. Following players for 4 or 5 years has always been better than 1 or 2 for me.
My family and I did the same thing. Love ISU, but my college kids needed the financial support at the time. It was painful too but was the right decision. Don't regret it.
