Not sure why they would do this. The women's tourney is already terrible since the top teams are so loaded and poor teams get destroyed by the top teams. Oh well. Guess I know the real reason. Money and they don't want to treat the women different. in my opinion they should have cut it down to around 48 teams.

Why not just forget about a tourney and just declare the team ranked #1 regular season the champ.
