Is there a movie star that you really don't care for?

One I would normally not like is Jason Statham but I freaking love his movies in general.
I give a lot of leeway to movies and actors in general. I'm watching a movie to be entertained. The same movie that hits one day doesn't the next. It is what it is.

As far as Statham goes, he knows his lane and sticks to it, so I'm fine with him, even in cheesy azz movies like The Meg.

Loved him as Turkish in Snatch.

Ya Turkish or his role from Lock Stock come to mind as things outside of his action bad ass persona.

Some parts have grown on me but no way.
Agree...it makes me laugh...but it is not in the rarified air of top 5 comedies! It doesn't even approach the levels of Animal House, Superbad, Naked Gun, Caddyshack, Sixteen Candles or Fast Times (does that count as a comedy?)! I don't mind a movie that just makes me laugh...I could watch She's Out of My League 10 days in a row and laugh every time! Step Brothers has some very funny moments...but it is really just a series of gag scenes...

I agree with some that have already been mentioned (Cruise, Kutcher, LaBeouf, Will Smith). Add a few I haven’t seen mentioned:
Robert Patenson
Pauly Shore
Steven Seagal
Jesse Eisenberg
Mel Gibson

I like Will Ferrell as a general rule, however, he has some sh!t movies. Elf? I mean, come on. Blades of Glory? You've got to be kidding me. Step Brothers? Just shoot me.
I don't get all "hallmark channel" for the holidays and need to watch 30 days of Christmas movies. In fact, most years I don't even see 2 holiday movies. However, I watch Elf every damn year. I'm sorry you're an angry elf.

Pattinson has had some really good performances. I didn’t like him just because he was the twilight guy, but the Lighthouse, Good Time, and Mickey 17 were all high quality.

He's grown on me. Mickey 17 is great. And while Tenet isn't a great movie, I do like it and he's good in that.

Now I'm wondering what the top 5 comedies of all time are?

We are the Millers probably deserves to be in there. Maybe The Hangover?

I feel he’s a lot like Sandler. It’s a certain type of comedy that either hits with you or it does not. When I was younger I enjoyed Sandler being a goof. As I get older, I can’t stand that type of movie.

Ferrell doesn’t take it nearly as far as Sandler, but it’s a level of physical comedy that doesn’t always do it for me.
I thought the Happy Gilmore sequel was pretty awful. Seeing "H-A-P-P-Y" shaved into a bunch of guys' back hair was mildly funny in the 90s when I was in my 20s. In 2026 in my 50s, not so much.
