Agreed. He was a 3rd down machine for the 49ers. And he's a beast in the running game. Love this for the Vikings. That would be a massive get. JJ and Addison on the outside, Jennings would feast on the interior routes.
Do we really need another somewhat expensive WR? I guess if he comes dirt cheap, that's one thing.
When KOC runs 3 WR sets 65% of the time and your 3rd WR is Tai Felton. Yes we do need another expensive WR.Do we really need another somewhat expensive WR? I guess if he comes dirt cheap, that's one thing.

I wouldn't call it that. They've done extremely well with free agent signings the last few years. Last year, the biggest hole was at QB and it lost many games. Now they're having Murray try to solve that with largely the same offense behind it.The Vikings have a lot of holes to fill. It's gonna take a couple of years to recover from Kwesi.
The reason why the Vikings have had to rely on FA signings is because Kwesi was terrible at the draft. I'm hoping we can turn that around and not have to keep taking chances on FA's.I wouldn't call it that. They've done extremely well with free agent signings the last few years. Defense will step back some I imagine, but probably not a lot with Flores' track record. Defense wasn't the reason they lost games last year, so any practically elevation provided by Murray will turn the team into a playoff candidate.
Been awhile since I checked his metrics, but I recall Murray being a deep ball specialist with just enough feet to extend plays, but his issues are when he gets off schedule. KOC passing scheme really likes to be scheduled at not freestyled, so there's a bit of a discrepancy there to work through.
Valid. We did very well on cap money and very well on FAs, but poorly on drafts. This draft post-Kwesi isn't exactly exciting either, seeing how we spent a first on a guy who basically didn't play last season due to injury. The reason why the Vikings have had to rely on FA signings is because Kwesi was terrible at the draft. This. The Wilf's would rather win 9-11 games every season and complete for the playoffs, but likely not get a championship than totally bottom out for a few years with the hope that they can truly compete for a championship when they come out of it.Valid. MIN is in an annoying spot. Realistically, they should be full speed tanking right now, but since this org just never does that, we are instead trying to restock the cupboard while never having a mass of picks and always picking late in rounds while doing it.
It may not have been exciting but at least it made sense. They used the first 3 picks to improve the front 7 of the defense which is crucial in Flores system. Then they got a backup swing tackle who may be able to take over for O’Neil as his contract is about to expire. Then they got 2 highly athletic project DBs for Flores to mold and a starting caliber fullback/hback with Ham retiring. They might not be elite this year but these are the kinds of drafts they need.Valid. We did very well on cap money and very well on FAs, but poorly on drafts. The Wilfs like to win, almost to a fault. They choose not to lose when it would be beneficial to do so. They do win a lot and give the city something to support, but they never win the big ones as a result.This. And I think the Wilf's are really good owners. But that is their philosophy.

They had holes to fill and filled them, I got the idea. It was just largely done in unorthodox way/against expected outcome. We just canned away Kwesi for doing a bunch of unorthodox stuff instead of going with the consensus ideas. Maybe these times it'll work out.It may not have been exciting but at least it made sense. Most of the teams you named had one of two things: A few seasons of .500 or worse records to build up a little with before reaching dominant state, OR They already had a HOF or near-HOF QB and additional skill position talent, almost all of which was also drafted.Like my previous post, can you name a team in the last 20 years that had a multi year rebuild of high draft picks lead to a super bowl appearance or win?
