Guess we'll settle for 152-10...
Game MIGHT have gone differently tonight if Happ catches that flyball off the left field wall, I think he makes that play most of the time, not sure what happened if he misjudged where he was at/how close to the wall he was, don't know. But Rea gets out of the inning with Cubs down just one run, maybe he gets two more innings and things go better. Meh. PCA had a really bad, rough game.
Yes, seems like something isn't right. There needs to be some sort of deep dive to figure out wtf is going on. This is moving past the point of bad luck
I'm watching Red Sox v. Orioles game and Jim Palmer mentioned the Orioles starters have struggled early in season with command. He commented that starting pitchers aren't throwing as many innings in spring training as historically. There needs to be some sort of deep dive to figure out wtf is going on. The Cubs lineup does it very well too. Just struggle with the drive the runs in part sometimesDodgers lineup is not even fair. They absolutely have drained our pitchers within 3 innings because they have to work around every single batter.
No one is touting Lopez and Kingery. They are what they are - bench depth that you can drop whenever you need. He's put up good #'s in the minors- .280 hitter. So why not give him a MLB utility role?
Putting him on the Cubs maximizes trade value. What will another team value more? A proven MLB utility player who is only 23 or a player the Cubs put an I-Cubs glass ceiling.
Not sure how you can fault Triantos for lack of upside and then tout Lopez and Kingery. The Cubs already got rid of Lopez once and he was a minor league player for the Colorado Rockies. Kingery was getting his first MLB run since 2019!! For the last 6 years no MLB Club thought he was MLB material.
Getting up there in years. Career year last year.Sutcliffe picked up on this right away but Boyd’s velocity is concerning. Don’t think he’s right
