Iowa State is participating in The Hall of Fame Classic at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City

Nothing official yet on cyclones.com, that's usually my first go-to, not sure when they start updating that for a new season.

Players Era has at least a partial list of teams, uncertain where best place to find it is. Obviously won't know matchups for a while.

I think full schedule usually set by August.

Last year:
May 22 - Non-conference schedule
June 12 - Big 12 opponents (teams and locations, no dates)
July 1 - Players Era opponents
Sept. 9 - Big Monday schedule
Sept. 23 - Big 12 schedule
Oct. 1 - ABC announcement
Oct. 14 - TV designations

We already know a bunch of pieces for the 2026-27 schedule, just based off of what's already been announced.

Nov. 2 vs Memphis (in Sioux Falls)
3 Players Era games (in Las Vegas)
vs Purdue
at Iowa, likely Dec. 10
Dec. 18 vs Missouri State (in Kansas City)
Dec. 29 vs New Hampshire
18 conference games

That only leaves 6 unknowns.

I may be in the minority here, but I am fine with this. There was a lot of talk last season from the mid majors about P5 teams not wanting to play them in non conference as the P5 teams felt there wasn't anything to benefit from those games. I don't mind ISU playing a mid major opponent each season. In fact, I think many more P5 teams should follow suit.
Exactly. At first glance the opponents look weak, but this is substituting for two 300+ KenPom opponents in Hilton. This will help our overall SOS.

Man, why complain about a game replacing some sub 300 opponent that everyone already whines about? Probably good to have a neutral court game after the Iowa game instead of sleepwalking in Hilton. It’s not like this game replaced the game in SF or the Purdue game.
It only annoys me because that game near Christmas is usually one I'm able to attend when I'm back in Iowa. Moving it south makes that a no-go now.

Excellent work!

For sure I couldn't recall when Big12 rotation was announced (with no specific dates). Also wouldn't have guessed non-con being complete in May, although I supposed that could vary year to year.

NH game is another I had forgotten.

Also I whiffed earlier in thread tagging CyHawk as Dec. 11 instead of Dec. 10 for some reason.

I find it interesting to follow the schedule-building, in a geeky way. But it also is kind of a bummer, it makes me want "next season" to start soon, instead of having to wait 6 months.

Id guess you could probably pencil in the most likely conference games as well based on some of the teams that we played once last year, reversing the home\away

Teams we are more likely to see at home: Arizona, Utah, BYU, Cincy, Kansas State, TCU

Teams we are more likely to see on the road: Arizona State, Texas Tech, Houston, Colorado, UCF, West Virginia

Teams we played twice last year so they could be anywhere next year:
Kansas, Baylor, Oklahoma State.

I'm fine with it, but to call this a "Classic" is the equivalent of RC coming out with "Diet Rite Classic" by bringing back the saccharin.

Nobody not involved cares about it and we wouldn't either if we weren't involved.

This has to be a pretty good pay day for us to give up a home game. Then again the students will be gone and we would normally playing like Grand Rapids State or some no name team at this time. So might as well take the pay day and possibly play Drake.
Students are out but the general public buy up those tkts and Xmas break games have good attendance, better than the early season games in Hilton against bad teams. Drake at ISU would sell well. No reason to play at the Casey's Center

I love the dedication of ISU fans to travel, but I question the sanity of any fan that attends this game (assuming they don't already live within 30 minutes of the arena).
If it was Mizzou I would have been game Missouri St. well if someone gives me tkts I'd drive down. LOL.

It ain’t even close to the same experience. I agree though, our non conference will be plenty good with Memphis in Sioux Falls (this one is much better to experience), Purdue at home, Iowa on the road, and players era tournament.
I went a few yrs back when ISU had some games at the sprint center, no B12 tourney but KC BBQ and Cyclone BB it was still a good time.

I wish the Iowa game would go back to Friday night

Probably? I remember 2 games over a weekend type thing attendance was so so but it was still a nice trip.
Well expect less than a so so crowd. Oh well, not a huge deal, but just a weird neutral court game. Overall, we got a good non conference.
