I would have walked Hoerner. Thanks Mets
That's why he is so damn good. Didn't sit there and try to hit a two run jack, or swing at a pitch in the dirt, just waited on the fastball and lifted a lazy fly ball to right, which is all they needed. Just always does the right thing. Fantastic player.

Rea has been so damn good, might be our best pitcher since early August last year.

I have yet to see PCA do literally anything on offense while I’ve been watching a game

His numbers since like last August are scary bad. Like worst in all the majors type bad. Hope he can get out of this rut but starting to question if it will happen.

Hope he can make adjustment, but with his defense, his floor is pretty high. Without the bad stretch, I wonder if he would have taken the long term deal.

Cubs leaving a lot of guys on base today.

Counsell can't continue the Busch batting vs. lefties experiment much longer. He's struggling overall at the plate, so why not simplify things for Busch at the plate by only hitting against righties.

Only problem, it requires Shaw or Kelly to play 1st. Counsell likes Kingery as a PR, but that seems like a waste of a roster spot.
