No idea if it holds up, been awhile since I’ve seen it. But man I thought it was hilarious for a long time.
I had very low expectations for Paul Blart Mall Cop. It was surprisingly entertaining. I'm not saying 'good,' I'm saying entertaining.
That's the kind of thing I enjoy for some reason.
It's about a doofus stumbling around the mall caught up in ridiculousness...what's not to like?
And, it became iconic as it seems like it's referenced quite a bit.
Good example for this thread's theme.
Concept could be a bad movie, but it's decent light entertainment.

Just a vehicle to entertain and that's enough for that type of film.
Just watched that again after many years and it had me really laughing. Good call.
Unironically love this movie - not every film can pun on its title this well.
Used to rent this movie for a quarter and LOVED it. This movie is awful and I adore it.
Norm, Artie, and a young Chris Farley were epic in this. Such a funny movie.Dirty Work
The Last Starfighter - first all CGI effects movie iirc. Its totally for kids, and i was that age so prob a lot of nostalgia for me, but has actual good moments. Robert Preston plays Space Music Man which is fun.

The two I always enjoy, but everyone else hates are Battlefield Earth and Waterworld.
Waterworld is actually good. The media/critics torpedoed any possible success before it even came out because it was, at the time, the most expensive movie ever made.
