Just curious. D1 has like less than 10 teams and all but Iowa and Iowa state are tiny d1 schools. They don’t do a national title for this do they?
They don't separate D1/D2/D3 for women's wrestling yet. They do nationals in Coralville but only for the last couple of years.
Yup, there is only one NCAA division, and there is an NAIA division.
Had to hit the twitter button learned that it was the UNI coach. Realized it was just good clean hassling from a long time friend/competitor. Him and Dresser have had funny exchanges in the past and both are good for the sport.
I'm not the biggest wrestling fan but follow ISU enough to hit the hilites.

watching presser now. Had no idea Dresser has been here 9 years.
If we can curtain off half the arena and hold a mat, or have a tumbling mat alongside a mat, it can fit 2 mats. I'm not positive on collegiate mat size, so they might have to remove the court first, but it would fit.
It would also last about 4 hours. Plus having them together would be a poor revenue decision.
Something the sport will need to clean up: the NCAA teams do not adhere to the same rules for things like eligibility. The mostly D1 schools adhere to those rules, the D2 to theirs, etc. It’s how McKendree is able to compete with and even beat Iowa. They have wrestlers who are essentially part time students who sign up for 2nd semester correspondence courses and compete for them. I believe some are even remote from their campus.
North Central is actually in Naperville IL. Would be great to have Iowa State here, would be a 10 minute drive for me.

Opportunities are endless and open to any imagination and will be what will help this thing grow and bring more viewers…glad we are finally in the mix with women’s wrestling, let’s explode this thing!
Alli was on kxno this morning at 7am and honestly, it was a great interview.
They really should look at scheduling them back to back on weekends. The double headers always help wbb attendance.
It's going to be fun to be on the front end of this sport as it grows. We'll see more familiar schools eventually.
I have and I will say my daughter‘s AAU basketball stuff was way worse than the wrestling parents
We had nationals there when I was in college that requires eight mats.

It's fine, nobody died due to this mistake.
North Central is a great D3, right in the middle of downtown Naperville and has a Metra line straight to the loop, so there is a lot to do on the weekends there. I think their football team is the current D3 national champion.
