Happy to see the sabres break their drought. NHL playoffs is still a joke. Only 1 of the top 3 seeds in the west have a chance to make the conference finals since they have to play each other by the 2nd round.
The NHL playoffs are so fun.... BUT... the current format absolutely needs to be changed. It make ZERO sense why MINN is playing Dallas in the 1st round (2 vs 3). The NHL MUST reseed all the teams for the playoffs... like all other sports do.
Yeah the playoffs aren’t a joke but the format is stupid.
Good for my Avs, but to have the Stars play the Wild in the first round is criminal.
It should be the 1 vs 8, 2 vs 7, 3 vs 6, and so on. Bettman needs to give up the "we want the rivalries playing each other" crap. Hockey fans are hardcore and will watch regardless.

-Who are the 2 & 3 seeds in the Pacific Division (Edmonton, Anaheim, & LA Kings)
- Who will be WC #2 to face #1A Colorado (Last place finisher of the 3 teams mentioned right above)

central is great this year and its too bad with the way it's set up that dallas & minnesota has to play each other.
Seems that Nashville’s eagerness to finish the season strong tonight will have a big impact on who gets the Avs. Anaheim just needs to win and they avoid the Avs first round.
I'm rooting for Buffalo. That city deserves some joy, plus their turnaround after a lengthy period of utter futility is a great story.
I'll watch Minnesota, but everyone knows how uninspiring that's going to be in the end.

And.....the Wild have been limping to the finish line. Another 4-1 (maybe 4-2) opening series loss in their future.
Anaheim comes back to win 5-4 so looks like it will be:
#2 Edmonton vs. #3 Anaheim
#1A Colorado vs. WC #2 LA Kings
