I agree that a coach needs to control the locker room, but there’s no way a coach can make players get along and like each each other as a player
They both can, but if Audi truly was/is a cancer and Bill did nothing, then he’s even more of an idiot then any of us thought. That’s 100% on him for allowing that to happen.

Some teams just don't get along, it happens.
You can be friends off the court but not care for each other as teammates.
You always hope the other way around make it work on the court and go your separate ways off the court
in fairness to Audi we've moved the goalposts a ridiculous amount.
from "she'll never play" & "she can't stay on the court more than 15 mins"
to "well, sure she's an All-American, the #1 scorer in the nation, and best scorer in Iowa State history that's averaging 30 mins a game ... but her defense is pretty bad"

Bill made Audi an easy target for her teammates. His favoritism towards her went to a new level. No effort on defense, didn’t matter. Forced shots, didn’t matter. The power to check herself in and out of the game was absolutely crazy. An offense that force feeds the post every trip down. A short hook for a bad post pass depending on the player. A short hook for a missed shot depending on the player. Plus you are losing and Audi is still getting the attention of the national media.
Very true. Before she got to Iowa State, many of us (myself included) were unsure how she would do at this level. I think the success of her first season greatly changed expectations. Sadly, some of the injuries also exposed some of here weaknesses more.
I also wonder if she was dealing with some sort of injury through the second half of the season.
I'm a little curious to know how much of the lack of ball movement at the end of the year was by Bill's design or by the rest of the team just getting tired of the game plan and phoning it in. It's been a disturbing trend for quite a few yeras now and it bleeds into the defensive effort as well.
yeah, not a fan of BFs pretty obviously pointed favoritism & seemingly harsh treatment of some others. that said, Audi & Addy have a claim to being way better than a replacement player, not sure many others on the roster couldve claimed that. stars generally get star privileges lots of places
