Milan Momcilovic tweets "entering NBA draft and portal"

If he ends up at a different school he's no longer a cyclone. I know I should probably re-wire my brain in this new dumb transfer age but nah 3 years and then bouncing is lame.

Hope he stays in the draft.
I think this has AJ Green vibes. Probably has at least a 2 way deal locked in. I’m guessing he’ll be playing pro ball next year. Hope anyway.

Nothing precludes him from coming back still. Really stupid that all of the logistics with this don't line up in a way that makes sense.

Like others said this is actually probably helpful to us.

If I were him I would just be planning to come back while still going through the process for more feedback, but get the goal to get to the NBA could be too enticing.

Nothing but budget. ISU isn’t going to hold his bag and wait.

Don’t rationalize this. It sucks to lose Milan. As others have said, let’s hope he stays in the DRAFT otherwise it will really suck. All trust in TJ, but I feel a bit underwhelmed in the transfer class if we don’t have $3 million tied up with Milan. But I know it is the wild Wild West right now.

No it's not. Money has been set aside for him, but the urgency of getting a roster together for next year does not align with the NBA Draft timeline. He wanted to stay but he wanted to also get as much valuable feedback from the NBA as possible.
Wasn't referring to money from us.

Will some other school wait for him? It's foolish to wait in this era.

I expect nothing less from you Bieber...Almost like you'll enjoy him not being a Cyclone.
He’s not wrong though. This is NIL. It’s near impossible to retain a guy like Milan their whole career. He’s gonna get paid way more than in Ames.

I don’t buy this at all. He’s good enough to hold a spot for him. It’s definitely money.

I won't wish him any ill will at another school but the reality is he'd end up at big ten, Sec or blue blood that I just can't bring myself to ever root for any way. I'm not going to cheer for Kentucky or Duke to have success just bc they have former Cyclones.
