He's not going to play a lot
Manning averaged 20mpg last season and over 5rpg. So he gives TJ an strong/athletic PF.

Singleton is hopefully Jefferson's replacement, but Singleton looks quick enough to also play some wing when Momcilovic sits as part of a big lineup. And Bond can play wing if TJ wants to go small/quick.

That Kent State dude now heading to UH looks like a stud. Exactly the kind of guy we need. Maybe Manning + Singleton is a moneyball approach to the same end game solution? Because I'm sure Gillespie got a real nice bag from Coach Sampson.
The Kent State guy only has one year to play. Singleton has 3. It's hard to compare their stats given the difference in competition. Singleton would be an absolute home run for us.

Apologies as I’m not in the know as some of you, are we trying to get both Manning and Singleton? I don’t really get the Manning signing other then it’s a big 12 body, Singleton seems to be the homerun here right

Yes, plan would appear to be Singleton as the starter and big get with Manning as the physical, Big 12 experienced backup

Not everyone is a starter. We need backups also. Plus when we play a more physical team like Tennessee and Arizona this guy can really add help
