As someone who didn't start seriously following wrestling until the last 5 or so years, what is Mineo's background?
he may not be credited but he knows everything way before others and likes to break it before others. He also likes to be the “first”. I guess what I’m saying is let it go a couple days. It doesn’t need to be said now and if it did then ISU would have put a post out. I do believe hes right tho.
That’s just it. His reputation is to beat everyone. To be the first. Regardless if he has the whole truth or just partial truth. Real media companies have to wait until they have the verified full truth because they rely on their reputation of putting out accurate information, usually after said person/team has had a chance to speak on it first.
Wrestled in PA and I think he also wrestled in college. He runs this page on FB called “the wrestling room”. He’s the one that pretty much everyone gets their info from.
Not disputing that at all. Just wondering why Dresser would tell that to a potential transfer if it wasn’t going to be public very soon?
Wrestled in New Jersey , lives in Pa Lehigh Valley I think , Rutgers fan brother is a successful high school coach maybe in New Jersey, likes getting the scoop before anyone else.

Might be better to be upfront about it since a portal window opens (outside of the designated portal window) when there is a coaching change. Would suck to have a guy agree to come to isu, then a coaching change is announced, recruit is caught off guard and can essentially re-open up their recruitment.
This could be an outgoing guy too that heard it in a team meeting or in passing. Dresser really left the door open with his tweet, so much that I’d be surprised if we go all weekend without an official announcement.
Maybe they can announce it on stage at Luke’s concert tonight.

It definitely is better to be upfront. But also, if it’s happening, then make it happen. I doubt portal transfers are thrilled with uncertainty. Whoever is the coach has work to do with picking guys up, and if a possible coaching changes causes a recruit to think for a little while longer than someone else can swoop in.
Not only that.. once HC steps down the transfer window opens up for all the those on the roster so are you really going to want to wait till the current transfer portal window is closed all those guys have homes and then run the risk of some of the current ones jumping with no one left to replace them?

If Mineo heard it from a recruit, id have to assume that the staff is being up front and this recruit is the one who kinda effed it up.
Fairly certain Yianni is getting added on staff at cornell with Scottie Boykin going to IMG.
