To be fair, they are called "double stuf". One f. Nothing says they are stuffed. They just have double the stuf. And Stuf is nebulous.

A Reeses descendant got after the manufacturer recently about how they suck and they are going back to the original formula.

Hadn’t heard that and did some research. I know the answer ($) but what the hell are these companies thinking…”chocolatey coating”, “peanut butter crème”.

What actually changed

• Some Reese’s products (especially seasonal shapes) have been made with:
  • “chocolatey coating” instead of real milk chocolate
  • “peanut butter crème” instead of traditional peanut butter
• This shift was partly due to high cocoa prices and product experimentation.

I used to be double stuff, but they decreased and now I am back to regular. I don’t like the filling like I used to. I use three singles and dip them into milk while I watch Hogan’s Heroes.
