Guessing he comes with a high high price tag
Yeah…I agree. Same with Freitag. As far as I’m concerned, Colorado’s Johnson and Freitag aren’t worth discussing on this board, unless of course it’s announced either are visiting, which I personally don’t see happening, but you never know, I guess.

EDIT: And that’s OK. A lot of options out there

I think our roster was almost perfectly constructed last year. I’m not saying we beat Tennessee with a healthy Jefferson, but I’m comfortable saying we would not have been outrebounded by 30 with Jefferson out there, and that very well could have been the difference.

Saying that, and assuming we can retain everyone who played this year, I’m all in on Johnson, Singleton and Bond. Are they equals to Lipsey, Jefferson and Heise? Likely not, but they are similar molds, IMO, and with a year of development under the belt for Toure, Batemon, Pleta and Buchanan, I think we’d be a tough out again.

We needed a backup 4. We didn't have one and it killed us when we played Tennessee. Milan and Heise playing the 4 didn't work cuz they are both 2/3's.

Tennessee has had 7 players enter the portal from the team that beat us - and that’s not including Ament (likely going to the draft) or Oporto & Gillespie (out of eligibility).

Crazy after a successful season.
It's definitely not just us worrying about keeping guys every year. It's pretty much a problem across the board. Even Michigan lost Tarris Reed to UCONN 2 years ago. Kansas might lose guy. Caleb Love leaving UNC for Arizona, etc...... No one is safe.

That includes Jaylen Carey, the 40 year old man that beat us up down low. Go get him TJ

Yes, I asked that last week and got the obligatory can’t trust a freshman. But if we add two PF it’s nice having a talented freshman as a plan B. The important thing is not add two guys with multiple years because preps aren’t going to wait two years
I think we're going to have to start trusting freshman more. Get 'em in and coach 'em up!
