*** 2026 Milwaukee Brewers ***

What do you guys think about the Cooper Pratt extension?

Team leadership does/should get the benefit of the doubt from me lately, but it's a bit of a head scratcher.

Perhaps this means that Joey O will not be a long term solution at SS? It is a head scratcher to me as well because I believe that Jesus Made would be our future at SS. Not sure what is going on but, other than the organization's decision to get rid of Josh Hader mid-season, I have generally been pleased with most of their acquisitions and actions. So, maybe this is a genius move that we fans will just have to wait to see how it plays out.

I missed the drama mid game but glad the crew could pull away. Grab another W and win another series.

Contreras once again being a drama queen. I could understand if Woody tried to bean him, but that pitch looked like it may have hit a stitch on his batting glove. No one was trying to hit him. Most batters would have acted as if nothing happened so they could stay at the plate. But not him. Now he says he will take someone out if Milwaukee hits him again.

Sorry @kentkel I had a long-winded discussion typed out, but forgot to post it and it disappeared. But in essence it went on about how I agree with you that they appear to be giving Ortiz one more chance/throwing him a bone, and that I am surprised that - if they were going to extend a player that hasn't seen MLB yet - it wasn't Made instead of Pratt, ala Churio a couple years back.

^i don't know if you like bloody Marys but Sobelmans (I think) has some crazy drinks. It's a place my wife and I love to go. We also did the Pabst Mansion tour not long ago and that was interesting.
Did a Pabst mansion tour back in the late 80s 2 blocks away from it was a car up on blocks with all 4 wheels gone. Usinger's sausage shop was pretty cool back in the day their landjaeger snack sticks were really good.

Hate to say it fans but this may be the year the bubble is burst. Injuries are once again piling up and I just don't think Murph the magician has anything in his bag of tricks to get them out of this. You aren't going to win anything of consequence with players like Mitchell, Sanchez, Lockridge, Hamilton or Ortiz in the lineup on a consistent basis. Just not enough production there to help the pitching staff and everyone is on to Murph's "small ball". It's early but don't have a good feeling about this.

Right now, the bolded is the one thing that makes me still optimistic about the season. The injuries to key players are right now - in APRIL and NOT in late July or August - which is good (as long as we can get our strong pieces back soon and in prime condition). The Dodgers were good all season last year - but when we swept them in the regular season, they were struggling because of some KEY injuries. They were healthy in September, we were not, and they went on to win the WS. I hope we can quickly turn this thing around - but I won't panic unless we are still sputtering at the end of May.

Just as I lay down an optimistic post, the Crew gives up 4 runs to lose the lead - Uribe blows it and Zerpa fails to put out the fire! :puke:

The Brewers have a way with Mother's Day games using those pink bats. It always give me flashbacks of the Bill Hall game. I couldn't remember the year of that - and when I checked, it was already way back in 2006!!

Another thing I didn't realize, but Turang and Hall also wear/wore#2.
I enjoy when little repeats of history like that occur.

Anyway, another exciting Mother's Day game, and sweeping the Yankees was the cherry on top.

Anyone else make it up to Minneapolis for the series? Where we sat last night it seemed like 60/40 brewers fans.

Getting a beer at a local place now before heading back for $2 happy hour at the stadium (dangerous but great)

Brewers fans always show up for the series in Minneapolis, it's closer for half of the state than Milwaukee.
