Why would he at this point? if he were going to, it would have already happened
If he doesn't need surgery, no reason to get cut. Healing is faster by doing physical therapy.l
Really well? He made a lot of bad turnovers. He's capable but I would hesitate to give him the keys.
Toure was the PG starting games WITH Lipsey on the court. I think TJ really prefers at least two ball handlers on the court at a time.
I’d rather stick with Toure. Give him an off season to iron out the rough edges. You’d be signing over not only a talented freshman but a quality recruit as well. Add an elite shooter at the wing instead. That and a PF are far bigger needs.
I don't hate this take. He certainly had some rough moments, but showed signs of potential on the offensive end. The defensive strengths go without saying. I think it's hard because he played so many minutes, but I had to remind myself several times to give him some freshman grace.
He was also on a roster that didn't need him to score. Any time he was on the court, he was the 4th or 5th scoring option just based off need. I have to imagine he'll take a jump in scoring usage, and hopefully his confidence goes up with it.
I still think a veteran transfer, ball handling guard that can score when needed would be a wise addition.

Toure also stepped up immediately in the absence of Tamin and then Jefferson, so I think he has the game, but deferred to the veterans a bit.
Anybody else think Batemon will make a huge jump next year? I wouldn’t be shocked if he is scoring 15-17 ppg next year.
What were Toure's bad turnovers? What games did we lose because he was turnover prone?
He averaged less than 2 TO per game. Not bad for a guard.
Toure had a freshman season right up there with Morris, Halliburton & Lipsey. In each case, they weren't the alpha guard their freshman year at ISU, but developed into studs!
In some respects Toure was better. Best on ball defender I've watched at Iowa State since Tinsley. Killyan shot close to 50% from 2 & 30% from 3.
Toure is going to be a star at Iowa State.
I'm bullish on him. I think he could-pump fake defenders out of their shoes and wreak havoc driving in the paint. His shot has to be respected, and he has the strength to draw a lot of fouls if he puts his mind to it.
That spin drive he had in the Kentucky game was a thing of beauty.

No thanks on anyone under 70% FT. The arm of my couch can only take so many punches from missed FT. This last season really set its structural integrity back.
I’d hate to see what you thought of Lipsey’s first year. FYI, Lipsey averaged 2.5 turnovers/game, Toure averaged 1.7 and played 3 more minutes per game.
