Audi Crooks to Transfer

if she does the Niang sophomore to junior year training scheme. she could be amazing.
Agree, will need to see that happen to believe it though. Thought that would happen the last couple of off-seasons and nope. Maybe the new coaching staff she plays for will demand it and it will finally hit Audi that if she wants a real shot at a professional basketball future it needs to happen.

Nope, I just don't believe this. This is the good of NIL. Young lady has worked hard to increase her value and has the ability to leave a bad situation for a better situation, both playing style and monetarily. This is how the system should work.
I'm not going to lie, I hate this from a fan perspective. It's tough having to deal with the what ifs every season. That being said, you are 100% correct.

I’ve never understood the Fennelly love that a lot of fans have given Bill over the years, as he’s never accomplished anything meaningful in 30 years now, but Bill should have been gone many years ago. How he can still be employed at ISU after almost the entire team transfers out is unacceptable. Jamie has to force him out now.

I feel like all teens & early 20s people are entitled so that tracks. The issue is as a coach do you have a way to address that?
Bingo…teaching them to be good people and humble is a challenge these days. Especially when everyone surrounding them often do the opposite. This is what former players always talked about when mentioning what Fennelly and the staff did for them. BUT times have changed and I’m not sure kids today take to those lessons nearly as well.

Pollard just put out a video about the mens and womens team and he doubled down on his support of Bill in that video. Jamie continues to show time and time again he doesn't care about women's sports at ISU. Sprout a sack and fill it with some balls, Jamie.

It’s really not surprising to hear players who are more into social media clicks and money to come across this way. Today it’s all about image and income generation. Thats society for our youth period. Finding players like AJ or Ryan who have a commitment to the school is becoming a rare commodity.
First and foremost, players want to win and they do not want to underperform. Success just feels better.

Second, the current landscape requires each player to think about their long term prospects -- whether that's WNBA or elsewhere. If you do not think that you're flourishing in a system that's performing (basic requirement) and you have aspirations beyond your senior year of college, you're going to look out for you. You're the CEO and chair of the board of [insert player name] inc.

Fourth, "entitlement" is probably the right word. My guess is that there were all kinds of things going on in the locker room. Multiple things can be true at the same time. I have empathy for the players. They are still young women, learning to navigate the real world. They live in a fish bowl.

Fifth, it is valid to criticize the coaching staff for always running plays through one player (happened with Ashley Joens and Bridget Carlton in recent history). Hero ball versus true team play. And the coaches also have the responsibility to do strength and conditioning. There are shortcomings. But, when I get real and try to put myself in the head of AC, an early twenty-something who is still "becoming", and consider the pointed comments that have been made here and elsewhere I think, "that has got to feel really demeaning and sickening." If you hear it from trusted coaches and in a certain way, it's constructive. When random people are commenting in ways that are sometimes mean, that would cause a young woman to want to retreat. This is a case where coaching staff didn't do their job.

You could be right. But I doubt she's going anywhere else for less, especially as you note no one else will love her as we have.. There's surely some team out there that has more weapons all around that can compensate for her defensive liability, and adding a big makes sense and they're willing pay a premium on that we can't afford. Just speculation though on my part.
Whoa. Have you read the abuse she takes on this board?

I mean yeah, but as a fanbase in general she's admired. I think most of that here is related to her gameplay, her limitations. This board is a sizable but not any means close to the overall Cyclone fanbase. She's a fan favorite. Let's change the word "love", no other fanbase is going to support the in state "wonder" like we have. I could be wrong.
