***Official 2026 NCAA Tournament Thread***

Haven't been to PSU but I was about ready to say I thought UCONN was very similar to St. College. Good call. Isn't College Station,TX the same way? The way towns and things are zoned out that way are kind of weird compared to here.
College Station and Pullman, WA are other good examples. There's a bit of a different dynamic with UT/UW being in Austin/Seattle. Which fuels the rivalries even more.

So, I’m a petty man with an innate drive to troll.

Though rare, on occasion I encounter a tigerhawk adorned person here (SF Bay Area).

They make for great practice. Using this very true stereotype I will engage, typically opening with a variation on I think I know that logo.

From there I claim to be more of a “pro sports” fan and my opening salvo is Oh yeah, Jeff Hornacek!

My preference is to throw in a couple more basketball players before pulling out the Oh, is Iowa more of a football school?

I’ve not had occasion in the post-Purdy world, so my opener there has traditionally been Seneca Wallace.

My goal has always been to make it to Kurt Warner as the ultimate punchline, but the two times I had sufficient setup I got greedy and lost them on Ellis Hobbs.

I don’t think anyone’s surprised by that. When I used to be sh^£head, I used to do similar out here in Chicago-land. It’s what petty insecure fans do. I get it….

I guess I always thought Pullman was town with like 20k with a big college. Much smaller version/scale than ISU. When you get to Storrs I'm not even sure there is a town there. Its kind of neat in a way but totally isolated. You aren't that far from civilazation there. They're more like little hamlets than actual towns.

Again, your posts here aren’t private.

Are you oblivious to what they reveal about you?

Is this a trick question? Are you using your mirror ? That is the point….constantly up in arms about sports and your rival is crazy stuff. Sure I’ll accept the label on both our parts !

Now what ?!

I mean you have over 2,000 posts on a message board of a team you aren’t even a fan of. Even you have to admit that’s pretty ******* sad.

Iowa fans can’t stand you either?

Yes, those hostile, angry, obsessive Iowa fans most assuredly can’t stand me…that is a fact. I say the same things to them…it’s dumb dumb dumb….and they do not like it.

But those that get it, see the reality.

Maybe it’s not the rest of us who don’t get it….

I don’t enjoy the barbs, Im out, just don’t pretend you are superior to ANY other fan base. You are exactly Iowas fans & Tennessees fans & Kansas & _________ fill in the fan base. You are not special. I’ve been around long enough to know…

TJ is a hell of a coach & he’ll figure out, Fennely. Not so much…good luck. I’ll be back next basketball season
