Too bad I think they lose by 15+ tomorrow. Just to add insult to injuryNow if we can get Tn to win we will have 4 diff conferences in the FF
Could be a really interesting game. Tennessee turns it over a lot, but Michigan is like 260th in forced turnovers. Tennessee might just be able to match up with Michigan, physically, which is where Michigan kills you.Too bad I think they lose by 15+ tomorrow. Just to add insult to injury
Can you elaborate?Hard disagree, Larry and that elite 8 team were head and shoulders above.
Yeah, Tennessee took away our pick and roll and locked onto Milan. Without JJ, that did us in. Let's see if Barnes can figure out a magic formula to also shut down a full strength Michigan the same way.Too bad I think they lose by 15+ tomorrow. Just to add insult to injury
Can you elaborate?
I mean, I would agree the Fizer team was better than any of TJ’s teams.
The team after was really good, but not sure I’d agree it was as good as this year’s team.
But in 5 seasons Larry had 2 NCAA appearances and 3 total wins (a single Elite 8).
In 5 years TJ has had 5 NCAA appearances and 7 total wins ( 3 Sweet 16s).
Are you saying that the Larry era is as good because he had one better team that won 1 extra game 1 time?
Or is it the Big 12 regular season titles? That cuts the margin down considerably, I guess.
So, yeah, doesn’t hold a candle isn’t fair. I’d still say TJ’s 5 year run is clearly better than Larry’s 5 year run.
You are coping hard with your loss.Iowa doesn't match up with anyone honestly. He scraped this team together in year 1 just to be competitive and ends up in the elite 8. Nuts
Nothing in the rules precludes coaches from using performance enhancing substances. Two regular season titles. An Elite 8, and the best team in ISU history. All while being drunk half of the time.
9 seasons at Iowa, 5 appearance 1 sweet 16, 1 Final 4Lute
I don’t think it was just coaches.Nothing in the rules precludes coaches from using performance enhancing substances.
Yeah, I retract the candle comment.
But I stand by the overall better tenure comment.
I would even add I honestly believe Larry was fired in large part because the lack of sustained success. If he was coming off 4 straight tournament teams with a couple more wins I bet it would have saved his job.
And Larry's run was headed decidedly southward near the end.Can you elaborate?

The desert air was good to Lute.9 seasons at Iowa, 5 appearance 1 sweet 16, 1 Final 4
24 seasons at AZ, 23 consecutive apprearances, 4 Sweet 16s, 3 Elite 8s, 4 Final 4s & 1 Natty
Patience is key, my friends. Patience
