I think Self has to get the boosters to stop picking players and let him assemble a team but I could be 100% wrong with this opinion.

I’m not trying to be a ****… And I am most assuredly not going to get into a pissing match that’s how you get banned here… But Friend I’ve been on your board quite a bit. I’ve been on almost every big 10/SEC board quite a bit and buddy there is about 15 to 20% of every fan base that are complete utter idiots… Normal Iowa fans don’t have a problem with Kirk Ferentz…
On the message boards, MATT Campbell over the last three or four years has faded as much heat as KF typically does… That’s what moronic fans do and I’ll say it a different way I’m about as grounded, (no matter how much people over here may or may not like me) I’m about as grounded & middle of the road as a fan can be. I like Kirk I’ve pretty much always liked Kirk, but I don’t care if he leaves. I don’t care if he retires. I’m even OK if he got fired… Not gonna happen, but I’m OK with it ,but here’s what I expect.
They put somebody else in that chair that understands how to coach at Iowa. Somebody else that has the amazing eye for talent that he has, just like Matt Campbell, and just like TJ because that was his greatest strength. They routinely put kids on the field as freshman and sophomores that were not highly recruited…
That’s a skill that is very difficult to replace and those morons don’t get it. In fact, some of the last interactions I had on the board was, I hope they get what they wish for…
That’s why I didn’t give a **** when the basketball team went in the tank. I got so tired of hearing fans ***** all the time, they are idiots. I dislike Iowa fans way more than I dislike Iowa State fans, oddly enough.

Weird dude…. and listen, I know a lot of quirky people, I like quirky people, I can be a little odd. (understatement of the year, right
) but he’s a very interesting cat… on one hand I don’t really like him much, on the other hand I don’t know, maybe he’s all right…. Of all the things he’s done and he’s been dirty, the **** he did at Iowa is actually more annoying to me than anything…Taping a conversation & turning Illinois in for offering a blazer to Deon Thomas… I don’t know man, I’m actually a servant of the Lord and wrong is wrong. I get it. But I’ve still got enough cowboy in me that I’m really not one to turn somebody into the authorities. It’s never set right with me.
He had visions of being a hero again, Ejafor was open right next to him too.
