••• 2026 Official Chicago Cubs Thread •••

Currently $100 committed to your offense next year with a need to address 2 COF and a C.

Cap is expected to be in the $260-280 range, if it happens.

I'm going to speak Skubal/Steele/Cabrera/Horton/Wiggins into existence.
If Rea performs well again you can have him Assad and maybe Brown as your depth starters after those five. I’m a firm believer if we keep saying Skubal it’s going to happen.

I certainly wouldn't be opposed to that. I'm under the impression there's mutual interest Shota remaining a Cub, while I also wouldn't mind finding a way to keep Boyd around. But we got a whole season to decide on those two.

It’s hard not to like Shota, but he’s definitely at a crossroads where he needs to prove it. Going into the season I thought Boyd was the one we didn’t have to worry about. Definitely not the case at the moment

Today needs to be the day our season really starts. Be nice to see Horton re establish himself as our ace again.

So is Marquee network worth the $20 a month? Will that be able to watch most games?

I used to have Direct tv and that was included 3 years ago but now have YTTV.

In terms of reliability, I haven’t had near the issues I’ve had in the past. A year ago, I would’ve said Jo just because of how unreliable it was to actually work.

Now, it’s simply a question of if you want to pay $20 to watch the Cubs

My quick skim through the schedule on MLB.com that shows where you can watch says that 15ish games are on channels other than Marquee, so if you want to watch, it's definitely worth it. 12ish of those 15ish games should be on YTTV (FOX, NBC, ABC) and then 3 Friday night Apple TV games.

My TV doesn't have the app on it so I cast it through my phone to the TV and it usually is good enough to get the job done but isn't perfect. Super nice to have the app for if I'm not at home but still able to watch.

Have signed up for Marquee for the last 3 years during the season. Great reliability. You’ll get 95% of games and will only miss the national and Apple TV games. Can cancel whenever you want.
