••• 2026 Official Chicago Cubs Thread •••

I know it doesn’t count but sticking a 15 Berger on the Yankees is always a good day.

Shota with a decent outing 2 runs 7 hits over 5 innings. Hopefully we can stay a little over 500 when he starts.

Really interested in seeing what the contract details are for PCA. He was under team control for the next 5 seasons so the length of the contract probably more than the AAV is what I am more interested in. He's definitely an elite glove in CF, just hope that he continues to improve at the plate because he had a great 1st half of the season then really cooled off in the 2nd half. Tools are definitely there to be an elite OF.

Hoping they can extend Nico too but he's probably better off hitting the free agent market to max out his value as he's likely to get some good offers and the Cubs have guys in the system that could fill 2B. Last year Nico was the best position player on the roster IMO and would hate to lose him as he as such a great approach at the plate while also an elite glove.

I don't think you extend Nico. Already two guys making $25M+ AAV in the infield and Shaw is probably a better hitter and you don't lose much defense plus I kind of expect Rojas to explode this summer.

If you're extending anyone else, it's Seiya. I'd see if he'd take 3/$75M with a escalators that could make it 4/$105M.

Another HR for Bregman & Amaya today. Yankees beat up Cabrera pretty good though.

This is where I’m at. I love Nico, but he’ll be paid as a decent SS and we have Shaw and Rojas who can probably justify spending money elsewhere

I think Hoerner is estimated at about $18 mil AAV.

PCA 6 years $115 mil starting in 27.
Could be 133 mil w/ incentives.
Important thing is adds two more years of control.

Personally I think this replaces Happ and Suzuki could still be in play. Hoping Conrad would be ready to take over Left by then. If not Jed an find a one year fill in.

We have 60 mil in starters coming off the books. One of those pays for Hoerner.

I've lost track on this subject, and failing at Google, so it's time for my old man question.

If I subscribe to Marquee, can I get the home games live here in central Iowa? I'm betting not, but I want it to work.
Toyed with it through Amazon, and they cut me off due to location.

Yep, just make sure you are subscribing to the Marquee App and NOT MLB.TV where you will be blacked out.

Not sure on cost but I believe Hulu and Prime now has Marquee.
