Typically there are one on one post season meetings. Sometimes players are told of their situation ongoing and “advised” it would be better if they entered the portal. In other cases, it’s like you said and they have decided to leave for various reasons.
If parents or players come on these places they need some guidance. BBS are the last place they should be hanging out.
If people want to individually pay a player more power to them, but other than that I agree with you.

I wish them well. Staying and expecting anything to be different is the definition of insanity. An outdated coach, and the inability to bring in a level talent. We will beat up on the lesser teams and get roasted by the good ones just like the last three years. I sure wouldn't stay.
Not seeing the logic to that. Birch can look just as "in the know" by saying everyone is coming back. If he said 1-2 more players might leave, he probably has sources that indicate that is true.

Yes, only reason to hang on for another year was to take one more run with main 3 back and healthy. Time to move forward.
