***NCAA Wrestling - Session 6 (Saturday, 5:30pm CT)***

Just like in KC when he broke his finger. That got in his head.

I wish he would’ve approached this match w same attitude as his match last night against Ford Pento.
And it wasn’t a TD either…. so he let a call bother him that was the correct call.

Coaches knew what he had to do, but athletes have a ton of confidence in themselves and their ability, that’s why they are elite, but in this case Yonger’s decision cost him any chance he had.

Counter wrestling is what the sport has/is turning into. Don’t take a shot just push, the guy shoots on you dive for a leg/ankle and put it over your head, sit on an ankle when u ride and hang on.
Maybe? But tonight, most of the aggressive wrestlers are the ones winning.

Look at what David Taylor is bringing to Okie St…. aggressive wrestling…. when they’ve been very defensive wrestlers before him.

Yonger is still an all timer. Great dude in many ways. He’s always represented ISU well. I’m god damn proud of him.
100%! Great person and human being…. THE most important thing in life.

Kid could barely speak English when he came to ISU, now he speaks great and is getting his degree. Amazing individual! Very proud he’s a Cyclone!

True but not all OSU guys. Their guy in the first match tonight doesn’t quite fit that aggressive style.

He seems like such a gentle giant away from the mat. He's always so accommodating to all the kids getting pictures/autographs at Scheman. Comes across as genuinely appreciative of all the fan adoration.

My novice opinion is Bastida had 5 minutes to get a takedown so he didn’t have you go neutral at all. He had one at the end of the first but ran out of time. 5-8 more seconds and that’s 3.

I agree he did not get a takedown in the second as he only had one leg but how did he not get back points after he wrapped his hand around the guys neck when trumbles on his back for a few seconds???

After he struggled to get out from bottom in the second dresser made the right call by telling him to go neutral to start the 3rd. Bastida owns that loss completely. Hes been the best neutral wrestler by far all year and 1 point wasn’t going to help him.
Get off dressers ass, he knew that wasn’t a takedown and that’s why he was hesitant to throw it.
In conclusion, **** **** ****!!!
