***2026-27 Mens College Basketball Thread***

Look up his stats when he was at Duke and Va. NOT impressive. I could understand Duke - they have 75% of their roster go to the NBA each year - hard to crack the top 10 in their line up. BUT, he didn't have impressive stats at a "much poorer than this year" Cavalier team. This may likely be the reason he chose to go down a level. He is now a junior and putting up impressive numbers. His maturity & improvement should be expected - but he is also doing it against Ivy league competition. The jury is out on whether he could perform at that same level against P5 competition. He'll have a chance, at least for 1 game, in this tourney.
He left Virginia because Tony Bennett retired.

Playing catch up on hoops news but gotta ask why, in the age of NIL and stars making bank, would a guy be screwing around and have a freaking pound of weed?

Providing for the team?

Also, the pound has been reported, but it wouldn't be the first time it was really overstated by police, especially in something like edibles where the whole product is weighed.

Part of that is simple population density so there are more schools in the eastern half of the country (map of division 1 schools in the continental US)

And then on top of that, the west coast's support of college sports isn't all that great either.
Damn, Minnesota only has ONE D1 school? How do they not dominate with that in state talent?
rhetorical: I know they are not favored by many of the instate players.

He was starting a lawn care business and was just taking care of the weeds.

They were never the same after Ron Behagan and the 1972 Brawl with Ohio State. The university has a hard time coming to terms with stuff like that. (Think Jack Trice).
